Description of Event Types

OTDR 133

Fiber Section

This symbol denotes a fiber section with no event.

³ The sum of all fiber sections contained in an entire fiber trace equals

the total fiber length. Detected events are distinct—even if they cover

more than one point on the trace.

³ A loss value is specified for fiber section events. No reflectance is

specified for this type of event.

³ Each fiber section has its own length, attenuation and loss value.
