Replacing Batteries

Your unit requires one Li-Ion battery. You can only replace this battery with

a similar one purchased from EXFO.

To replace the battery:

1. Acquire a new battery from EXFO.

2. Turn off the unit (if the AC adapter is plugged in, you may replace the

battery while unit is on).

3. Open the battery compartment door located at the back of the unit.

4. Replace the battery, respecting the polarity.

5. Close the battery compartment door.

WARNING

Use the AC adapter provided with this product

indoors only.

Use only with a Class II AC/DC adapter, 9 Vdc,

1000 mA power limited output.

The adapter shall have the appropriate safety mark (for example,

UL, CSA, TUV, CE, etc.) that is acceptable to the authorities in the

country where the equipment is to be used.

WARNING

There is a risk of explosion if you do not use the appropriate

battery.

WARNING

Do not throw batteries into fire or water and do not short-circuit

the batteries’ electrical contacts. Do not disassemble.
